The following concerns one John Maynard Keynes

Who is he? John Keynes, a man with great power with the economy, who lived during the world wars. And fought to get his ideas about economy known and shown. What did he accomplish? It's still going on as we once again struggle with the economy and the problems of deficit and unemployment. 

He believed that the government should be able to go into debt in order to help the economy and the people who didn't have the luxroiouries of a job. He thought that when a war was fought that the countries who fought the opposite country should be able to help the country on the road to recovery. He thought that that at the end of WORLD WAR I and II that the government should have gone into Germany not with the intention to let them suffer and repair their country themselves but to be able to help Germany repair their country.  

I really don't want to even thing economy and government intervention at the moment. You have asked what do I think? I really am not thinking at this particular time. Some of my friends would ask do I ever? I digress however and so I answer your inquiry. 

What do I think? I think he is right to a degree. The government helping the country that got beaten is good and all. I would prioritize first however. Taking World War II for example. Hitler's army really destroyed so much land. So much of the good in other countries. He broke more than the countries pride. He destroyed nations. Shouldn't we be able to put our first efforts into helping the helpless victims? After we do that yes we can work more on our enemies. How long will we remain enemies if we fought still. WHat if we forgave and helped? THe person responsible for all the destruction is gone after all. Wasn't his own country a victim? 

With this side of his ideas we don't have to worry much about. the countries we are fighting with we are also helping them to repair the damage. 

About the government side of his life? I really don't know as long as the government is reasonable with what they do. But how often are any of us reasonable?

International Monetary Fund

The  International Monetary Fund is basically an organization which is trying to keep things balanced. They try to keep everything balanced. You call it they are trying and watching everything. Employment, money, gems. Everything. 

They determine how much canadian money equals to different things. and the base structure of all our things is the American dollar. This started just after WW II. From the war came America's power in the world and They became the world power. It left europe and traveled to the "new land" Where it has remained for the past 65 years the power has been in America. 

As such we move our canadian dollar to match the price of the American dollar everything is compared to it. Gold, Limber, Euro, pounds, oil. The list goes on to everything. This is how we compare goods and rarities in the world. I don't think anything is compared to anything else. The support and head of the banks and world is America. They earned it from WW II. THe question now is does it the money go to the Euro now? Has Europe surpassed America?

 From America and impacts of it we get banks from this. Banks who lend out things according to the credit of the American dollar. They lend and borrow money to help others gain. Things depend however on the supply and demand concept. they all depend on what is happening in the world and what is the current price of the dollar.

Like stated above people are wondering should we move the dollar? The euro equals more money than the dollar is. Is It worth it? The IMF is keeping track of what is happening and making sure that things don't get too wacked. They in a weird way keep things in our society running. 

Oka 12 point timeline

 1)1868 Natives tried writing telling a bishop that the land they were using was rightfully theirs

 2)1870 Around this time archaeologists stated that this land did indeed belong to them 

 3)1977 They officially signed a document to the government of Canada petitioning them for their land

4)  1986 Native land claim was objected and the land was not given to them 

5) Early March  the Mayor of Oka stated that that the golf course should get underway in a few weeks 

 6)Mohawk first nations stayed in the forest to protect it from the construction peoples. 

 7) April 5, 1990- They were told that they had illegal land claims and that they would have to get off the land. 

8)July 1990 armed first nations blocked a road leading on to the town of Oska demanding that the golf course be stopped 

Same day they block the other road leading into the land. They had the same demands. 

Later on Police came to tear down the blockade. Corporal Marcel Lemay  died 

9)Aborignal people continued to flock to the blockade to help their people other Native peoples all around hurt and destroyed things in their anger

10) RCMP were brought in but couldn't control the situation

11) August 14 Premier of Quebec  invoked the National Defence Act  which allowed him to deploy his army

12) September 26 the whole thing cleaned up and they burned their weapons and went back to their reserve.

Then Canada (the army) got fried by the world and media for our shocking behavior

The Oka Crisis

 The Oka Crisis  is an incident I can't really remember hearing about. I really don't know what you want to know. What do I think the main points are? Quite frankly you really don't want to know what I think. You would think that it is harsh and it could be. 

If You insist I would have to say. Why do we loose land if the government want it for a project, but nothing happens to the first nations. What makes them so different  than us? How come we are violating human rights when it is the first nations? Don't get me wrong I have nothing against them. But, from my perspective it looks like we aren't given the same rights as they are. It's not their fault. I admit it could be a figment of my imagination. 

You want us to look at points from the crisis. that is one of them. The soldiers were criticized heavily with how they conducted themselves. during the incident. I don't understand that personally. A) they were following orders. B)They killed Corporal Marcel Lemay with their protesting against a golf course!

Maybe I am being critical it is very possible. I just don't understand the rights issue. The country itself did not set up all of the barricades. Why did people agree with people who caused how much traffic jams? Why did they take their side. Granted if the government suddenly decided that my land was beneficial to Canada as something I would be very upset. I hope however I wouldn't go to the extremes of taking out the hi-way by my house. 

These really are just my personal opinions on how I think  people deal with things. Maybe this  isn't what you had in mind when you posted the assignment.  You know by now I am opinionated and probably ignorant of what has happened, everyone has an opinion and this is mine. (probably a very ignorant one.)

North Korea Nuclear projects are you kidding ME ?!

Of course not! Just what the world needs right now, another country whose motives we have no idea. Why should they need nuclear weapons? What are they planning?

 It shouldn't be a problem and nuclear reactors are an amazing piece of genius, what we do with the technology however is horrible. Like this planet needs more nuclear weapons in the depths of it's self. 

I don't think North Korea needs them what are they planning, there own Cuban missile crisis? Why do we need that? WE don't! If they honestly only wanted the nuclear reactor I wouldn't care but they don't and Most of North America know it. 

Earthquake strikes Central Italy:

We have the Juan de Foca on the west of us. 

There are a few different ways we get earthquakes, One the plates are pushing up on eachother causing mountains. The other is when they get stuck and create a crevice. Or they push each other side to side.  It also happens strangely enough when they are locked together by their frictions.  

When any of these give in any direction we have an earthquake.

That is a hard question and  one I would have to ask myself that when/if the  situation ever happened. I do see points on both sides. I love my home and odds are I wouldn't move, because with my home comes the land around it. I love the song "I'm Alberta bound." it answers the feelings that I have. I hope I would still have the decency to go and save the people. within reason of course. Otherwise how am I helping by getting stuck myself.  I hope I put anothers life before my own. Within reason.
